Tongits is more than a card game in the Philippines — it's a tradition. At JL6 Link, we've brought that tradition online so you can play with friends and strangers from Luzon to Mindanao, anytime you want, with real money on the line and instant GCash payouts.
21+ only. Please play responsibly.
If you grew up in the Philippines, chances are you've played Tongits at a family gathering, a barkada hangout, or a lazy Sunday afternoon in the barangay. It's one of those games that's deeply woven into Filipino culture — fast-paced, strategic, and always a little competitive. JL6 Link brings that same energy to your phone or computer, with real stakes and real rewards.
Tongits Go on JL6 Link is a faithful digital version of the classic three-player card game. The rules are the same ones you learned growing up: draw cards, form sets and runs, and try to empty your hand before your opponents do. The difference is that now you're playing against real people from all over the Philippines — from Quezon City to Cebu City, from Davao to Iloilo — and the pot is real pesos.
JL6 Link has invested heavily in making the Tongits Go experience feel authentic. The card animations are smooth, the table design is clean and easy to read, and the game logic is tight — no bugs, no unfair shuffles, just honest gameplay. Whether you're a seasoned Tongits veteran or someone who hasn't played since high school, you'll feel right at home within a few hands.
A quick refresher on the rules — for new players and returning veterans alike
Tongits is played with a standard 52-card deck between three players. The dealer starts with 13 cards; the other two players receive 12 cards each. The remaining cards form the draw pile in the center of the table. On each turn, a player draws from the pile and discards one card face-up. The goal is to form valid combinations — called melds — and reduce the total point value of unmatched cards in your hand.
A meld can be a set (three or four cards of the same rank, like three Kings) or a run (three or more consecutive cards of the same suit, like 5-6-7 of Hearts). You can also add cards to existing melds on the table — a move called sapaw — which is a key tactical element that separates good Tongits players from great ones.
The game ends in one of three ways: a player goes out by emptying their hand (called Tongits), the draw pile runs out and players compare scores, or a player calls a fight (challenge) when they believe they have the lowest unmatched card value. The player with the lowest score at the end wins the pot.
On JL6 Link, all of this happens in real time with a clean interface that highlights valid moves, shows your current score, and keeps the game moving at a comfortable pace. There's also a helpful hint system for newer players that suggests possible melds without giving away your strategy.
Three or four cards of the same rank. Example: three Aces or four 7s. One of the most common melds and a great way to clear high-value cards quickly.
Three or more consecutive cards of the same suit. Example: 8-9-10 of Spades. Runs can be extended by adding cards on either end during your turn.
Adding a card to an existing meld on the table — yours or an opponent's. A powerful move that lets you reduce your hand count without forming a new meld.
Emptying your entire hand by melding all cards. Instant win — you take the pot regardless of opponents' scores. The ultimate goal every round.
Call a fight when you believe you have the lowest unmatched card value. All players reveal their hands and the lowest score wins. High risk, high reward.
There are plenty of online Tongits platforms out there, but JL6 Link has built a reputation as the go-to choice for serious Filipino card players. Here's what makes the difference.
First, the matchmaking is fast. You're never waiting more than a minute or two to get into a table, even during off-peak hours. JL6 Link has a large and active player base spread across the Philippines, so there's always someone ready to play — whether it's 2 PM on a Tuesday or midnight on a Saturday after the PBA game.
Second, the table variety is excellent. JL6 Link offers Tongits Go tables at multiple stake levels, from low-limit tables where you can play for as little as ₱50, all the way up to high-roller tables where the pots can reach tens of thousands of pesos. There's a seat for every type of player and every budget.
Third, the platform is genuinely fair. JL6 Link uses a certified random number generator for all card shuffles, so every deal is completely unpredictable and unbiased. No patterns, no manipulation — just the same honest game you'd play at home with a physical deck.

Tongits is a game of skill as much as luck. The cards you're dealt matter, but how you play them matters more. Here are some practical tips from experienced JL6 Link players to help sharpen your game.
Face cards (Jack, Queen, King) carry 10 points each. If you can't meld them early, discard them as soon as possible. Holding onto unmatched face cards is the fastest way to lose a fight challenge.
Pay close attention to the discard pile. If an opponent keeps throwing away cards of a certain suit, they're probably not building a run in that suit — which tells you something about their hand structure.
Don't sapaw just because you can. Adding to an opponent's meld helps you reduce your hand, but it also gives them information about your cards. Save sapaw moves for when you're close to going out or need to block a fight call.
Calling a fight when you have a low unmatched score can win you the pot even without going Tongits. But be careful — if an opponent has a lower score, you lose. Only call a fight when you're confident your score is the lowest at the table.
Even the best Tongits players have losing sessions. Set a session limit before you sit down, and stick to it. JL6 Link's responsible gaming tools make it easy to set daily deposit limits directly in your account settings.
